In this example,
CPS Engineering was retained to replace a hot water
boiler in a 28,000 foot telecommunications facility. Recent
improvements in telecommunications equipment efficiency and efforts to
better insulate building envelopes have resulted in a lighter load on
such facilities’ heating systems. These older fossil-fuel powered
systems are not equipped to handle too little work, and develop gaping
inefficiencies.
By rightsizing
and having installed the new boiler, burner, and its
controls, CPS Engineering alleviated a number of headaches for the
Owner, including high fuel costs, excessive maintenance, and a high
rate of emergency service calls.
